VES End of Week Team Update | Final Dates & Final Laps!
Dear wonderful VES team,
Hope you are well, and apologies this end-of-week email is later than usual! I’ll try to keep this one short and sweet, but there are a couple of important dates below to have clearly in your diary as we head into the final stretch of the academic year.
Early student feedback: thank you!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped students complete feedback forms last week. We haven’t uploaded every form or done a full analysis yet, a fuller report will come later, but even from the first batch, there is already a very clear headline:
Students feel welcomed, encouraged, and helped at VES.
Again and again, students mention friendly teachers, kind classmates, patience, good teaching, feeling comfortable, feeling helped, and wanting to keep learning.
One student wrote: “Enjoyed everything - we are like a family.” That is such a lovely thing to read, and it is a real testament to the culture you create week by week. Thank you.
Eva and Manuel - two of the characters who make VES, VES!
Key dates — please note
Final VES session of the year - Thursday 16th July
Our final session of the academic year will be on Thursday 16th July. This will be a celebration morning, and ALL TEAM are welcome, whether Thursday is normally your VES day or not. We’ll have light refreshments, plenty of games and summer activities, and some end-of-year awards. These mornings are always really special, and we would love you to be there if you can.
VES Team Celebration Brunch - Monday 20th July
Then on Monday 20th July we will have our VES Team Celebration Brunch. This will be a chance to have some fun, relaxed time together, to celebrate you, and to give thanks for all that God has done through VES this academic year. I would really love you to be there.
