VES Team | Looking Ahead to September restart!
Dear wonderful VES team,
Hope you are well - and that you’ve had a really good August!
I managed an idyllic seven days in Croatia with my family, interrupted by a slightly-too-close encounter with a large wildfire! Thankfully, no physical harm done - but definitely a story to tell in due course…
For now, September is nearly upon us, so just a quick email with the key dates and a few practical things as we get ready to start back together.
September restart — key dates
VES Team Morning — Thursday 3rd September
It would be GREAT to have as many of you there as possible. These mornings are an important chance to reconnect as a team, get ourselves aligned for the term ahead, welcome new people, and invest a little into how we serve together.

Student Registration Morning — Tuesday 8th September
This will be our main registration morning for new students. All offers of help are very gratefully received! There will be plenty of welcoming, chatting, registering and helping people find their feet.
Classes start properly — Wednesday 9th September
From there, we’re back into our normal rhythm. The timetable remains the same as last year.
Your availability
One really helpful request as we restart: please overcommunicate with me about your availability!
My working assumption is that you are continuing with the same serving pattern as last term unless you’ve told me otherwise - but please do let me know / confirm if anything has changed, even if you think I should already know!
We’ve also got some lovely new team members joining us this term, which is really encouraging. There are still a few places where we would love to strengthen the team - particularly Beginners teachers on Mondays and Wednesdays - so please do get in touch if that might be you, or if you know someone who could be a good fit.
Looking a little further ahead
We’ll continue through until our two-week October half-term break, beginning Monday 19th October. The half term after that will then run November 2nd to December 17th.
There is lots happening behind the scenes as we look towards the next chapter for VES - but our basic calling remains wonderfully simple:
